This provides an additional layer of surveillance, where you can actually see what is going on in front of the computer - rather than just what's going on inside it. By customizing NETObserve to take screen shots at set intervals, you will be able to view actual images of the machines desktop. This is the most accurate, and precise way for seeing what is really going on. CONTENT FILTERING NETObserve lets you decide which websites you want to be viewable. You can create and manage a list of inappropriate websites, and NETObserve will block them. It will also log all attempts made to view a blocked site, and the browser that was being used. POWERFUL EXPORTING When viewing the system activity logs remotely, NETObserve lets you export all of the logs into many different formats. This will help save disk space, as it would be a waste of disk space to store duplicate screen shots, etc. FLEXIBLE SCHEDULING NETObserve is completely flexible when it comes to setting up times/dates that you with to automatically run NETObserve. NETObserve gives you the flexibility to activate or de-active NETObserve at any time of the day. For example, you may want to start NETObserve in the morning, and have it stop at night - everyday. By using NETOberve's "Everyday" scheduling option, you can have this done! TOTAL STEALTH NETObserve uses an intelligent stealth engine to prevent anybody from knowing that NETObserve is running. Once in Stealth mode, NETObserve will be hidden from the Windows Task List, the System Tray, and anywhere else it may be possible to find NETObserve running! If you choose to run NETObserve in total stealth mode, the only way to regain control of NETObserve is to input a specific hotkey, as well as the NETObserve password you configured. PROCESS MANAGEMENT Remotely view open windows and processes on the machine running NETObserve. You can freely terminate or close a window with a single click. SYSTEM CONTROL Quickly shutdown/reboot/logoff the remote machine, as well as put the machine into Lockdown Mode. Lockdown Mode will bar the PC of any usage, and the only way to regain control of it is if you [the administrator] unlocks it. PASSWORD PROTECTION To prevent others from using NETObserve, you will set a password upon running it the first time. The MD5 Message Digest Algorithm is a one-way hash algorithm, which takes any length of data and produces a 128 bit "fingerprint" or "message digest". Put simply - all passwords sent to NETObserve for validation [when logging into the NETObserve Control Panel] will be securely encrypted using the MD5 hash to prevent any possible snoops from obtaining your password while it is in route. IP BANNING If you are worried about someone connecting to your machine, you can utilize NETObserve's built in IP filtering tool. This allows you to ban IP Addresses and Host Names from connecting to the NETObserve Control Panel. However, keep in mind, that if someone does connect to your IP, they cannot access the NETObserve Control Panel without the proper password. USER TRACKING NETObserve gives you two methods for keeping track of when you log into the NETObserve Control Panel. You can track by using Cookies, or by IP Addresses. This is perfect if the computer you're connecting from won't accept cookies, or if you are on a ISP which frequently changes your IP Address. AUTOMATIC IP DETECTION If you are behind a router, you have two different IP Addresses. NETObserve comes with an IP Address detector, which will detect your External IP Address and your Internal IP Address. This will allow you to quickly setup NETObserve to work outside a network! PORT CONFIGURATION NETObserve allows you to configure the port you wish to use when running NETObserve. This is extremely helpful, as routers and firewalls require you to open up ports to allow access, and with the Port Configurator, you can quickly set the port to your liking, and configure your router/firewall accordingly.
